Ali Express may be the go-to marketplace for Shopify stores, but WorldwideBrands has become increasingly popular over the past few months with new store owners who struggle with the slow delivery and impossible returns offered by Chinese drop shippers (although their products are usually of very good quality).
Worldwide Brands is different – more expensive and more manual to use – than Ali Express and similar sites like DHGate. To join Worldwide Brands you'll need to pay the $299 membership fee, plus some more if you want the training videos on offer, and when you find a product you want to sell you'll have to deal with each supplier individually. This takes a lot of time and a beginner to e-commerce can easily make a mistake.
But Worldwide Brands has a wide range of products from certified US based suppliers – including both drop shippers and wholesalers – that are guaranteed to be legitimate and reliable. Because most of WWB's suppliers ship from the USA, delivery times are much faster with suppliers found in Worldwide Brands.
However, it is still more expensive to use – Worldwide Brands costs $299 to join while Ali Express and DHGate are both free.
If you have the money and time to join and use Worldwide Brands then it's a good way to find the next level of products up from what's on offer on Chinese marketplaces sites, but only join if you can afford both the time and the money.
